Aha-Soft has announced this month the release of version 3.57 of its award-winning software Any to Icon. As its name implies, Any to Icon is a tool for batch conversion of images stored in a variety of popular formats to Windows icons. Both raster and vector formats are supported.

Any to Icon features a friendly and intuitive wizard-like interface with drag-and-drop support, which makes it manageable even for the least experienced users. The program supports numerous image formats including Adobe Photoshop (PSD), Windows icons and cursors, Windows icon libraries (ICL, DLL, EXE, SCR etc.), BMP, GIF, Wireless bitmap (WBMP), JPEG, Linux icons (XBM, XPM), Windows Metafile (WMF), PNG and more.
You can resize the source images, change their color depth (color depths from 1 bit to 32 bits with 8-bit alpha channel and transparency) and resize them to fit in the specified dimensions. Any to Icon supports all standard icon sizes and lets you specify any custom size of the icon. The program features a smart resizing algorithm, which produces very clear and proportional images.
Besides the conversion, Any to Icon can perform a few more useful operations such as splitting icon libraries into individual icons, extracting icons from files and folders and placing them to a directory of your choice.
Version 3.57 of Any to Icon features new interface and the support for X Pixmap (XPM) and X Bitmap (XBM) used to store Linux icons.
